Tube A Manchette or TAM uses perforated pipes, which are then placed into a hole for grouting on the outer side of the pipe. We, at Evergreen Enterprises, commonly use it for tunnel excavations to grout specific and exact locations. We also use this method to make cohesion-less granular soils. Our technique of using manchettes on the outer part of the pipe makes it act as a one-way valve. This ensures any grout (that we inject in the beginning of the process) does not flow back under high pressure. Re-grouting is another plus point Evergreen offers as it allows use of grouts with decreasing viscosities.
