At Evergreen Enterprises, we use this to make the soil more stable by the process of reinforcement. We use hollow threated bars and drill them into any type of soil. Sometimes we transmit grout during this drilling, through the bars. Through experience, we have learnt that this is easier and more effective than the process of grouted nailing, which is why we prefer this. This also allows us to make sure there is less loss of sheer resistance and that there is no need for cased boreholes. We use this technique proficiently for slope stabilizations and for strengthening the existing walls.
